The company was founded in 2001 in Torino, the Italian city of cars and innovation, thanks to the will of GTT - Gruppo Torinese Trasporti - to invest its resources and expertise toward the sustainable mobility and the preservation of the environment.

Torino Metano, owned by GTT and by Fornovo Gas, a company at the forefront in the CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) components production, is also a member of Consorzio NGV System Italia.

Torino Metano works for public transport utilities, alternative fuels fleets companies, natural gas components manufacturers for the automotive sector.

Since 2007 Torino Metano is looking ahead: thanks to the advanced research developments it promotes and implements energy-saving and pollution reduction technologies.

Torino Metano has adopted, in order to guarantee safety and transparent conditions in its policies, an organizational model and a code of conduct in line with the Italian legislative decree 231/2001.
